Ευχαριστούμε Θερμά την Ομάδα Ανάπτυξης του Αγίου Θωμά για την παραχώρηση του Υλικού της

Στο ύψος του Ασωπού ποταμού και απέναντι από το εκκλησάκι του Αγίου Θωμά αρχίζει ο χωματόδρομος που ανεβαίνει τον λόφο για την αρχαία Τανάγρα. Η περιοχή ονομάζεται Κριμάδα και μόνο αν ανεβείτε το δρόμο, θα δείτε δεξιά και αριστερά ερείπια της Αρχαίας Πόλης. Η φωτογραφία απεικονίζει τον λόφο, καθώς τον προσεγγίζουμε από τον Αγιο Θωμα.


Ο λόφος της Αρχαίας Τανάγρας, όπως φαίνεται, όταν τον προσεγγίζουμε, ερχόμενοι από Οινόη. Η ανάβαση μέχρι την κορυφή, όπου σήμερα υπάρχει αντλιοστάσιο της ΕΥΔΑΠ διαρκεί 20 λεπτά. Η θέα από τον λόφο είναι εκπληκτική και εξηγεί την επιλογή των ανθρώπων της εποχής να χτίσουν εκεί την πόλη τους.
